Around 20 people were injured in a road accident involving a Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) bus and a private bus at Karandupana Junction in Kegalle at approximately 6:15 a.m. today (August 3).
The injured passengers were admitted to the Kegalle Teaching Hospital for treatment.
According to reports, the accident involved an SLTB bus travelling from Rambukkana to Kandy and a private bus travelling from Digana to Colombo.
Authorities are conducting further investigations into the cause of the accident.
