Sri Lanka has welcomed 138,730 tourists so far in July, according to the latest data released by the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).
India remained the country's largest source market during the month, with 31,734 arrivals, accounting for 23.0% of the total tourist arrivals. The United Kingdom followed with 14,949 visitors, while China recorded 8,484 arrivals. The Netherlands contributed 8,415 tourists, and Australia accounted for 7,419 visitors.
Despite the steady inflow of visitors, July's figures remain below the 200,244 tourist arrivals recorded during the same month in 2025.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's cumulative tourist arrivals for 2026 have reached 1,285,303.
India continues to lead as the top source market for the year with 325,417 visitors, followed by the United Kingdom with 123,526 arrivals and China with 84,655 tourists, according to the SLTDA.
