The Lalith Athulathmudali Mahapola Higher Education Scholarship Trust Fund has announced that the final list of students selected for the Mahapola Scholarship for the 2024/2025 academic year has been forwarded to the respective universities.
Students whose names appear on the final selection list have been instructed to visit the official Mahapola website and complete the online registration process using their National Identity Card (NIC) numbers on or before 17 August. The Trust Fund noted that the online registration portal will close on the same date, and eligible students are encouraged to complete the process without delay.
Meanwhile, students who were not selected for the scholarship may submit appeals through their respective universities to the University Grants Commission (UGC). According to the Trust Fund, all appeals must be forwarded before 15 October.
The Mahapola Scholarship is one of Sri Lanka's leading higher education financial assistance programmes, providing support to eligible undergraduate students enrolled at state universities.
