President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed N. R. Anees as the new Chairperson of the Finance Commission.
J. M. C. J. Wijetunga and K. Karunaharan have been appointed as members of the Commission.
The letters of appointment were presented to the newly appointed officials by Presidential Secretary Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (July 20).
The appointments were made to fill the vacancies that arose following the completion of the terms of office of the previous members of the Finance Commission.
