The University of Colombo has decided to conduct academic activities for its Faculty of Science online for one week, beginning tomorrow, in response to the rising dengue situation.
Vice Chancellor Professor Indika Karunathilaka said the decision was made after considering requests from students and the increasing spread of dengue.
The university will remain open during this period. All academic and non-academic staff are required to report to work as usual, while all university hostels will continue to operate normally.
Earlier, the university also shifted the academic activities of the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Management and Finance to online mode for one week, effective from the 9th of this month, as part of measures to address the dengue outbreak.
