The University of the Visual and Performing Arts in Colombo will reopen tomorrow (July 13) after being closed for two weeks due to the dengue outbreak, the university administration announced.

Ahead of the reopening, a special dengue prevention and campus clean-up campaign is being carried out today (July 12) under the Clean Sri Lanka initiative to ensure a safe environment for students and staff.

The programme, coordinated by the Clean Sri Lanka Secretariat under the Presidential Secretariat, includes cleaning the university premises, fogging operations, and inspections to identify and eliminate mosquito breeding sites.

The initiative is being supported by officials from the Borella Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Office of the Colombo Municipal Council, together with personnel from the Sri Lanka Army, Sri Lanka Navy, and the university staff.
