Six Tamil-speaking political parties are scheduled to announce a new agreement to work together on matters of shared interest at a media briefing tomorrow ( 13).
In a joint statement, the parties said they have reached a consensus to cooperate on key issues of mutual concern in the current political context. Further details of the agreement are expected to be revealed during the media briefing.
The parties involved in the initiative are the All Ceylon Makkal Congress, Ceylon Workers’ Congress, Democratic Tamil National Alliance, Ilankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi, Sri Lanka Muslim Congress, and the Tamil Progressive Alliance.
