The final rites of veteran Sri Lankan singer Mariasel Gunatilake will be held on Monday, July 13, at the Borella General Cemetery.
Her remains will be placed at a private funeral parlour in Borella from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the same day, allowing members of the public to pay their final respects before the funeral.
Mariasel Gunatilake passed away in the early hours of Friday (July 10) at the Kalubowila Teaching Hospital, where she had been receiving treatment following a prolonged illness. She was 68 years old at the time of her passing.
