The Department of Meteorology has issued two weather advisories warning of strong winds and rough sea conditions.
Both advisories were released today (July 10) at 11:00 a.m. and will remain in effect until 11:00 a.m. tomorrow (July 11).
One advisory covers the Central, Sabaragamuwa, and North Central Provinces, as well as the districts of Monaragala, Puttalam, Hambantota, Trincomalee, and Mannar, where strong winds are expected.
The second advisory has been issued for the sea areas extending from Hambantota to Pottuvil and from Mannar to Chilaw via Puttalam. Mariners and fishing communities are advised to exercise extreme caution due to strong winds and rough sea conditions in these areas.
