Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe appeared before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today (July 8) in connection with court proceedings related to a complaint alleging the misuse of state funds.The court had previously directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to submit a progress report on the ongoing investigation into the complaint during today's proceedings.
Fort Magistrate’s Court today (08) ordered that the AG's stance on the legal action to be taken against former President and former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake be presented to court during the next hearing.
The complaint also names former Presidential Secretary Saman Ekanayake. Further proceedings in the case are being conducted before the Colombo Fort Magistrate's Court today.
