The government is considering banning or restricting social media access for children under the age of 16, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya told Parliament today.
She said the National Child Protection Authority is currently conducting consultations on the proposal.
The Prime Minister added that the government, in collaboration with World Vision, is also working on a programme related to the initiative.
