A two-week training program on Information Technology (IT) Auditing for 30 officials from Sri Lanka’s National Audit Office has successfully concluded at the International Centre for Information Systems and Audit (ICISA) in India.

According to the High Commission of India in Colombo, the programme was aimed at enhancing the technical expertise of Sri Lankan audit officials by providing advanced training in modern IT auditing techniques and best practices.

The initiative forms part of India’s commitment to train 700 Sri Lankan professionals, a pledge announced during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s official visit to Sri Lanka in April 2025.

The High Commission stated that the programme is intended to strengthen Sri Lanka’s public sector auditing capabilities by improving the knowledge and professional skills of officials in the field of information technology-based audits.
