The operation will be carried out with the participation of health authorities, the Tri-Forces, the Sri Lanka Police, government institutions, and volunteer organizations as part of a coordinated effort to curb the spread of dengue.
In the Colombo District, the campaign will cover nine Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions, including Maharagama, Kaduwela, Homagama, Gothatuwa, Battaramulla, Piliyandala, and three zones within the Colombo Municipal Council.
In the Gampaha District, the operation will be conducted in the MOH divisions of Biyagama, Kelaniya, Seeduwa, Ja-Ela, Mahara, Wattala, Negombo, and Minuwangoda.
Meanwhile, in the Kalutara District, the campaign will target the MOH divisions of Panadura, Bandaragama, Horana, Ingiriya, and Kalutara.
Health authorities say the intensified operation aims to eliminate mosquito breeding sites and raise public awareness in areas identified as being at the highest risk of dengue transmission.
Sri Lanka has recorded 39 dengue-related deaths so far this year, while the total number of reported dengue cases has risen to 58,810, highlighting the growing public health concern.
