Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) of Police for the Eastern Province, Waruna Jayasundara, has been summoned to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The senior police official was called in to have a statement recorded regarding an investigation into his alleged connections with the notorious organized criminal figure Mandinu Padmasiri, widely known as "Kehelbaddara Padme."
