The Sri Lankan government has decided not to further extend the state of public emergency that was enacted due to the disaster situation caused by Cyclone ‘Ditwah’, Cabinet Media Spokesperson and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa said today.
Speaking at the weekly Cabinet press briefing held at the Department of Government Information on Wednesday (July 01), Minister Jayatissa stated that the emergency regulations will officially expire starting this month.
