Officials who have not yet submitted their declarations are urged to do so before the end of the day. Under the provisions of the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023, all public officials required to file asset and liability declarations must submit them through the online filing system.

CIABOC Director General Ranga Dissanayake stated that individuals who fail to submit their declarations after the deadline will be subject to financial penalties in accordance with the law.

However, reports indicate that the commission's website has experienced technical difficulties due to an exceptionally high number of users attempting to submit their declarations simultaneously.

In response to the disruption, authorities have decided to grant a one-week grace period for individuals who are unable to complete their online submissions today because of the website congestion.

The commission has advised affected users to submit their declarations within the extended period to avoid penalties.
