Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North Western provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara Eliya districts. Fairly heavy rainfall exceeding 50 mm is expected at some locations in these areas.
Meanwhile, showers or thundershowers may develop in the Uva Province and the Ampara and Batticaloa districts after 2.00 p.m.
Strong southwesterly winds of 40–50 km/h are expected at times over the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North Central, and North Western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee District. The public has been advised to take necessary precautions against temporary localized strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.

Showers or thundershowers are expected in the sea areas extending from Chilaw to Matara via Colombo and Galle.
Southwesterly winds will generally range between 30–40 km/h, increasing up to 50–60 km/h at times in the sea areas stretching from Kankasanthurai to Pottuvil via Mannar, Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
The sea will be rough at times in these areas, while other sea areas around the island will remain moderate. Wave heights are expected to reach 2.0 to 3.0 metres in the waters extending from Chilaw to Pottuvil via Colombo, Galle, and Hambantota.
Fishermen and naval operators are advised to exercise extreme caution, as temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas may occur during thundershowers.
