The arrests were made this morning after the Western Province Northern Crime Investigation Division recorded extensive statements from an assistant manager and a security officer attached to the bank.
The arrested suspects are scheduled to be produced before the court.
Further investigations into the heist are being carried out under the direction of Horana Chief Inspector of Police Ranga Perera and led by the Officer-in-Charge of the Crimes Division, Ranga Dissanayake. Concurrently, the Western Province Northern Crime Investigation Division is conducting a parallel investigation into the incident.
