Police Spokesperson F.U. Wootler stated that additional police officers will be deployed across all police divisions until the end of Vesak week to strengthen road safety and ensure compliance with traffic regulations.
According to police, special attention will be given to identifying motorists who engage in reckless driving, violate traffic laws, or drive while intoxicated. Officers will conduct increased patrols and monitoring operations, with legal action to be taken against offenders.
