He made the remarks at a ceremony held yesterday (07) at the Registrar General’s Department, where computer systems were handed over to Registrar officials under the ‘One Registry’ digitalization program.
The Minister said the initiative is part of a broader effort to modernize public services and improve efficiency through digital systems. He noted that although technology has improved service delivery, some citizens still perceive manual systems as more effective.
He urged officials to combine the strengths of both old and new systems to deliver better public service.
“We are living in an era of creating history. We must use these facilities to build a better country for future generations,” he said.
