The initiative aims to improve and modernize civil registration services provided through Divisional Secretariats.
The equipment was donated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Health Organization (WHO), and distributed to strengthen the efficiency of Registrar General’s Department units across the country.
The event was attended by Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government Professor Chandana Abeyratne and Deputy Minister Ruwan Senarathne.
Officials said the program will be expanded further to cover remaining divisions in the next phase.
