Speaking at a public meeting in Hiriyala, Kurunegala on Friday (09), Rajapaksa claimed that statements are being obtained by threatening individuals and that affidavits have already been submitted regarding such incidents.
“Mysterious killings are occurring; the law is being bent, and threats are being made to obtain statements that suit the government’s needs. If their wishes are not met, people are threatened with death,” he said.
He further challenged the government to stop intimidating political opponents and instead fulfill the promises made to the public.
