According to preliminary information, the suspect is believed to be linked to multiple serious crimes, including several homicide cases. He was taken into custody by Indian security forces before being handed over to Sri Lankan officials.
Investigations have further revealed that Karandeniya Raju is the brother of an organized crime figure known as “Karandeniya Sudda,” suggesting possible connections to a wider criminal network.
The CID has stated that further investigations are underway to uncover the full extent of his alleged involvement in criminal activities.
