Former Head of the State Intelligence Service, Suresh Sallay, has filed a writ petition before the Court of Appeal of Sri Lanka challenging his arrest and detention by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA).
The petition has been filed through his attorneys, seeking legal relief over what he alleges to be unlawful arrest and detention.
The respondents named in the petition include Priyantha Weerasuriya, Shani Abeysekara, Ravi Seneviratne, Rohan Silva, and the Attorney General's Department of Sri Lanka, among others.
