ULFTBOA President Susantha Jayawardana said that only a limited number of fuel bowsers will remain in operation, while the majority will be withdrawn from service as part of the move.
He said that the decision, which takes effect from this morning, was prompted by concerns over alleged distortions to the pricing formula that had been in place since September 2025.
Jayawardana further said the association was compelled to take action after authorities failed to respond to repeated requests to address their concerns.
