The order was issued by Colombo Fort Magistrate Isuru Neththi Kumara when the relevant case was taken up earlier today.
During proceedings, the Magistrate noted that although the suspect is presently being questioned while in custody in connection with the ongoing investigation, he has now been formally named as a suspect in the case.
Accordingly, the court directed that he be produced before the court on the next hearing date when the case is called.
