This year’s theme, “Yes! We Can End TB: Led by Countries, Powered by People,” emphasizes strong country leadership, sustained commitment, and collective responsibility in eliminating tuberculosis. The day provides an opportunity to highlight national and global progress in TB prevention, treatment, and care.
Under the guidance of Health Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, in coordination with the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NPTCCD), has been implementing a series of programs at national, district, provincial, regional, and Medical Officer of Health (MOH) office levels to strengthen TB control.
