National Joint Three-Wheeler and Industrialists' Association General Secretary L. Rohana Perera said at a media briefing this morning that the rising fuel costs are making it difficult for drivers to provide consistent service.
“Fuel prices have been revised again from today. This increase is a big problem for our service. We do not have enough fuel to provide our service, and the government has increased prices. It is like a bull that has bitten a man who fell from a tree,” Perera said.
He warned that without government intervention, commuter access to three-wheeler transport could be disrupted, and confirmed the association plans to visit the Presidential Secretariat to present their concerns.
