Prevailing dry weather expected to change from tomorrow (12th).

Except for a few showers in the Ampara, Batticaloa, Monaragala and Hambantota districts, mainly fair weather will prevail over the island.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Uva, North-central and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the early hours of the morning.

Condition of Rain:

Showers may occur at a few places in the sea areas off the coast extending from Hambantota to Batticaloa via Pottuvil. Mainly fair weather will prevail in the other sea areas around the island.

Winds:

Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (45-50) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.

State of Sea:

The sea areas off the coast extending from Colombo to Mannar via Puttalam and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be moderate.
