Assistant Superintendent of Police Rohan Olugala is currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Colombo National Hospital, police sources said.

He was initially admitted to the Kotelawala Defence University Hospital after developing an illness on the night of January 30. Following treatment there, he was examined by a team of specialist doctors on the instructions of Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya.

Subsequently, ASP Olugala was transferred to the Colombo National Hospital for further treatment and is now being treated in the ICU.

Speaking at a press conference with Hiru News, Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya said that ASP Rohan Olugala is currently recovering while continuing to receive medical care.
