Suspended Deputy Secretary General of Parliament, Chaminda Kularatne, appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today to lodge a complaint against the Speaker.
Speaking to the media on behalf of Kularatne, Attorney-at-Law Mithun Dias stated that the complaint was not merely an action against the government. He said the complaint was filed due to a personal dispute involving his client, who is currently under suspension.
The lawyer further noted that the complaint submitted to CIABOC also includes allegations related to the Speaker’s conduct concerning anti-corruption practices.
