The Ministry of Health and Mass Media has decided to intervene to resolve issues faced by children of members of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) during school admissions.
Issuing a statement, the Department of Government Information said that necessary steps will be taken once the Ministry of Health is formally informed of such incidents. The move comes in response to concerns raised over difficulties encountered by GMOA members when securing school admissions for their children.
Accordingly, GMOA members who face such problems are advised to report their issues to Eranga Jayawardhana, Director (ECI) at the Ministry of Health and Mass Media, for further assistance.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to ensuring fair treatment and timely solutions to issues affecting healthcare professionals and their families.
