A minor earth tremor was recorded in the sea area off Mullaitivu on today afternoon, according to the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB).
The tremor occurred at approximately 3:49 p.m. today (31). While the event was detected by the national seismic network, officials moved quickly to reassure the public regarding coastal safety.
