Rainfall resumed in the Badulla district this morning (30), bringing an end to the dry weather conditions and extreme cold that prevailed over the past several days
Residents said the district experienced bitterly cold conditions from night until the following afternoon in recent days, accompanied by bright sunshine during daytime hours.
However, the prevailing weather pattern changed again today, with rain falling across several parts of the Badulla district since morning, offering relief from the cold spell while raising concerns over possible impacts in vulnerable areas.
