Mainly dry weather will prevail in the most parts of the island.

Fairly strong winds of about (30-40) kmph can be expected at times over Eastern slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-central, North-western, Eastern and Uva provinces and in Hambantota district.

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces and in Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts during the early hours of the morning.

Mainly fair weather will prevail in the sea areas around the island.

Winds:

Winds will be north-easterly and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to 50 kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Kaluthara to Mannar via  Colombo and Puttalam, and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota.

State of Sea:

The sea areas off the coast extending from Kaluthara to Mannar via Colombo and Puttalam, and from Matara to Pottuvil via Hambantota will be rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be moderate.
