The Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Traffic Division of the Egoda Uyana Police Station has died following a road accident in the Moronthuduwa area, police said.
The incident occurred this afternoon (26). According to preliminary police investigations, the accident resulted from a collision between a bicycle and a motorcycle.
The injured officer was rushed to hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
