Nuwara Eliya Municipal Council Mayor Upali Wanigasekara has invited domestic tourists to visit Nuwara Eliya, stating that the prevailing weather conditions make it an ideal time to travel to the hill country city.
He noted that the pleasant climate and seasonal attractions are drawing increased interest from local visitors, adding that this is a perfect period to experience the unique charm of Nuwara Eliya.
Meanwhile, Nuwara Eliya Tourist Hotels Association Chairman Mahinda Dodampagamage said that all access roads to the city have been fully restored and are now in normal condition. He emphasized that visitors can reach Nuwara Eliya via any route without difficulty.
Dodampagamage further encouraged families to travel to Nuwara Eliya during this period to enjoy the rare experience of frost and the scenic beauty associated with the season.
