Another key meeting in the ongoing discussions between the United National Party (UNP) and the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) was held this morning (24) in Colombo.
The meeting was attended by a delegation from the SJB, including party leader and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa and General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara. Representing the UNP were General Secretary Thalatha Athukorala, Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardene, Vice President Navin Dissanayake, Akila Viraj Kariyawasam, and Sagala Ratnayake.
During the discussions, representatives from both parties engaged in extensive talks on the possibility of working together in the future.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa, in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, said that another successful meeting had taken place between the UNP and the SJB, expressing hope that the talks would lead to a victorious outcome.
