Former Minister and Galle District representative Ramesh Pathirana has been appointed as the Benthara–Elpitiya Electoral Organizer of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
He received the appointment letter today (22) from SLPP National Organizer Namal Rajapaksa at the party headquarters on Nelum Mawatha. Pathirana has also been named Convener of the party’s Health Professionals Association.
Ramesh Pathirana had supported former President Ranil Wickremesinghe in the last presidential election. On the same day, several former local government chairmen and members from the Galle District joined the SLPP.
