Sacred Buddha Relics brought from India will be on public display at the Gangaramaya Temple in Hunupitiya, Colombo, starting from the 4th of next month.

The relics are being brought to Sri Lanka with the support of the Indian Government. According to the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, the exhibition will continue until February 12.

In this regard, Chief Government Whip and Minister Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa met with the Most Venerable Warakagoda Sri Gnanarathana Mahanayake Thero of the Asgiriya Chapter of the Siyam Maha Nikaya to brief him on the arrangements.

The Minister stated that the sacred relics, discovered in Gujarat, India, will be displayed for public veneration in Sri Lanka.
