Sri Lankan underworld figure Ranjith Kumar, also known as “Konda Ranji,” has been arrested in Dubai along with two other suspects, according to police reports.
The other individuals taken into custody include Raveen Chaminda Weerasinghe alias “Puncha,” a close associate of criminal Uragatha Indika, who is wanted in connection with a murder that occurred in Aluthgama. A female suspect linked to several fraud cases has also been arrested in the same operation.
Authorities confirmed that a special police team consisting of six officers, including two female officers, has already departed for Dubai to escort the suspects back to Sri Lanka.
Further investigations are currently underway, and police say more details will be released once the suspects are brought before local courts
