A person has staged a protest by climbing an electric pole on Galle Face Pitiya Road, alleging that he was subjected to unfair treatment by the Kelaniya Police.
It was reported that the individual has refused to come down from the pole, prompting concern among authorities and the public.
A team from the 1990 Emergency Ambulance Service has arrived at the scene to ensure the protestor’s safety and to provide necessary medical assistance if required. Police officers are also present and are continuing efforts to resolve the situation peacefully.
