The Department of Meteorology says the prevailing showery conditions over the island are expected to reduce from today (15).
According to the weather forecast, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Kalutara, Galle, Matara and Ratnapura districts after 4.00 p.m.
Mainly fair weather is expected to prevail in other parts of the country.
However, misty conditions can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Northwestern provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts, during the early hours of the morning.
The public has been advised to remain vigilant, particularly in areas where thundershowers may develop in the evening.
