The Colombo High Court today (12) ordered the re-call of the case filed by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption against former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, his son Ramitha Rambukwella, his daughter Amali Nayanika Rambukwella and their employee Nipuni Krishnajina on February 13.
The case was taken up before Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihal today. After considering the facts presented, the judge ordered that the case be taken up again on February 13.
The Bribery Commission has filed indictments against the accused on charges of committing and abetting corruption by allegedly including outsiders in the former Minister’s personal staff and crediting their salaries and allowances to their respective bank accounts during his tenure as a Minister.
The court has already served indictments on the defendants and released them on bail.
