A continuous ‘Satyagraha’ protest has been launched in front of the Education Ministry by former Minister Wimal Weerawansa, joined by civil society representatives and supporters.
The protest calls for the withdrawal of the newly introduced education reforms and demands that Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya step down as Education Minister.
Participants have vowed to continue the sit-in until their demands are met, reflecting strong opposition to the government’s proposed changes in the education sector.
