Former Minister Johnston Fernando and his two sons are scheduled to be produced before the Wattala Magistrate’s Court today (09).

They were arrested in connection with the alleged misuse of a lorry belonging to Sathosa, which is said to have caused financial losses to the government. After being produced before court, they were remanded until today.

Meanwhile, Indika Ratnamalala, a former transport manager of Sathosa, was also arrested on allegations of preparing forged documents to facilitate the use of the Sathosa lorry for the operations of an ethanol company allegedly linked to former Minister Johnston Fernando. He is also due to be produced before the Wattala Magistrate’s Court again today.
