Following an incident during a landing on the waters of Lake Gregory earlier today, Saffron Aviation (Pvt) Ltd, operator of Cinnamon Air, confirmed that no passengers were on board and all crew members are safe, with no injuries or casualties reported.
Cinnamon Air is cooperating fully with the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka (CAASL), which is conducting an on-site assessment of the aircraft. The airline, in commercial operations since 2013 and having safely carried over 80,000 passengers, emphasized that safety remains its top priority. An internal review of the incident has also been initiated.
In its official statement, Saffron Aviation reassured the public that all necessary measures are being taken in coordination with the authorities to ensure continued safety.
