The Indian Maha Bodhi Society has made a financial contribution of Rs. 10 million to the ‘Rebuilding Sri Lanka’ Fund, established to restore livelihoods affected by Cyclone Ditwah and to support the country’s post-disaster recovery efforts.
The cheque was formally handed over yesterday (05) at the Presidential Secretariat by the Sri Lankan representatives of the Indian Maha Bodhi Society—Anagarika Dharmapala Trust Chairman Sudhammika Hewavitharana and Amit Wijesekara—to Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake.
The donation aims to assist communities impacted by the cyclone and contribute towards rebuilding infrastructure and livelihoods across affected areas.
