Former Minister Johnston Fernando appeared before the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) this morning (05) following allegations of financial misconduct.
Police had previously notified Fernando to attend the FCID, cautioning that a court-issued arrest warrant would be requested if he failed to appear.
The investigation focuses on claims that the former Minister improperly used a Lanka Sathosa lorry, resulting in financial losses to the government. Authorities have confirmed that legal action is underway as part of the ongoing probe.
