The Ministry of Industries and Entrepreneurship Development has resumed the re-registration of businesses affected by Cyclone Ditwah under its second phase, officials announced.
The initiative, aimed at supporting manufacturing and export industries as well as small-scale industrialists, will continue until January 16.
As part of the program, a disaster relief allowance of Rs. 200,000 will be provided to small and medium-scale factories that have not yet registered with the Ministry. Distribution will be coordinated through the Divisional Secretariats in the affected districts.
According to Ministry data, 29,649 businesses, including export, manufacturing, and small and medium-sized enterprises, have already registered through a dedicated hotline. Additionally, 9,628 export and manufacturing factories fall directly under the Ministry’s oversight.
The Ministry said that follow-up support is being provided to all affected businesses, with 1,500 officials deployed to assist with registration and relief distribution.
Officials highlighted that the program is part of ongoing efforts to revive industries impacted by the cyclone, safeguard livelihoods, and strengthen the local economy.
